Great experience to know how trans migrant people live as farmer in Riau. Their former job was illegal logger, which give better income instead of becoming farmer. However, Riaupulp, a pulp and paper company, producer of Paper One, give them training and support in terms of farming skills and needs such as fertilizer. They transformed into farmers since then. It was a great trip in the end of 2006, facilitated by my former company, The Point daily English Newspaper in Jakarta.
